Walk: Grasmere & Rydal - White Moss, Town End, Grasmere, Loughrigg Terrace, Rydal bridge, Scandale Bridge, Rydal Hall
Start Point: White Moss Common Grid Reference: SD 348 078
Distance: 8 miles Ascent: 1,000 feet
Time: 4.45 hours
Weather: Dry with sunshine for most of the day
Comments:  After a delayed start due to traffic conditions we departed from a free car park near White Moss and headed for Grasmere via Town End. Shortly after passing Dale End on the south side of Grasmere we took a path along the shore before a gentle climb took us to Loughrigg Terrace where we had lunch over looking Rydal. Here, we digested the magnificent views and autumnal colours that only the Lake District can produce. From Rydal Bridge we walked towards Scandale Bridge before turning eastward along a track towards Rydal Hall where we sampled the cafes fare. The last leg involved a little bit of undulation on the lower reaches of Nab Scar. Eleven people took part and we were blessed with the weather.
