Walk: Finsthwaite & High Dam
Start Point: Main car park Grid Reference: SD 369 883
Distance: 6 miles Ascent: 1,000 feet
Time: 3.5 hours
Weather: Wet and very windy
Comments: This walk, originally scheduled for 8 miles, was abandoned after 6 miles due to the weather conditions. The party was surprised at the extent of the little visited Boretree Tarn which, until recent times, was out of bounds. It is hoped to do the walk in full in the not too distant future.
