Comments: Departing from the Dog & Partridge at Charnock Richard we passed through Yarrow Valley Country Park and Bog Wood to reach the River Yarrow at Duxbury Park, After crossing the river we had refreshments. Walking sown the stream on the banks of the River Yarrow we came across a memorial to a dog called Brevit. Bob then led us up a steep bank from the river to a stile giving access to a Historical route. Near to the stile was a mass of tree routes. Further down stream of the Yarrow we saw a weir and fish ladder before passing through 'Drybones' to see the remains of an old coal mine pithead. After skirting around Coppull we returned to the pub for a well-earned meal.
