Walk: The Game Cock, River Calder, Whalley Nab, Whalley, Spring Wood, golf course, Read Park
Start Point: The Game Cock Grid Reference: SD 745 362
Distance: 5.5 miles Ascent: 821 feet
Weather: A dry, sunny day
Comments: From the pub we followed the River Calder down stream to Whalley via the Nab.  We then went on to Spring Wood picnic site before crossing the Golf Course to pass through Read Park on the way back to the pub for lunch.
