Walk: Sabden - A part valley floor part ridge walk, view of back end of Pendle behind western hills
Start Point: The White Hart, Sabden Grid Reference: SD 487 109
Distance: 4.85 miles Ascent: 400 ft
Time: 2.8 hours
Weather: A cloudy day with a few spots of rain but little wind and quite warm
Comments: After a fairly level walk up the valley from Sabden, a short but not too steep climb took us to the ridge where splendid views could be seen on both sides - across the valley to Bank Hill to the west and to Burnley in the east. A number of difficult stiles coupled with the numbers attending (33) caused some delay so instead of proceeding up the other side of the valley and following the contour round, a short cut was taken.

Alan's looking pretty pleased . . .

perhaps it's because of the views on this walk
