Walk: Glasson Dock canal spur, Ellel Grange, Lancaster canal
Start Point: The Manor Inn at Cockerham Grid Reference: SD 465 522
Distance: 5.4 miles Ascent: 60 feet
Time: 2.75 hours
Weather: Cold (5 degrees C), sunny after heavy rain overnight
Comments: Group of 37 lead by John Hayes, a moderate amount of muddy areas after the heavy rain of the previous night. Light wind kept wind-chill to a minimum. Landlady at The Manor Inn very accommodating for our group. Some stiles were slippery but generally in reasonable repair. Terry spoke of the death of Kevin and a minute's silence held before the walk commenced.
