Walk: Hill Top, Abbot's Farm, White Horse bridge, Hankinson's Bridge, The Boar's Head
Start Point: The Boar's Head Grid Reference: SD 516 712
Distance: 4.5 miles Ascent: Minimal
Time: 2 hours
Weather: Dull and dry
Comments: 23 walkers turned up at the Boar's Head for our leisurely Sunday afternoon walk. Heading out of the back of the car park to Hill Top we then turned north to Barton Lane and over to Abbot's Farm. From there west to the A6, the traffic stopped for us! and across to White Horse Bridge on the canal. Then it was an easy stroll along the towpath to Hankinson Bridge and back to the A6 and the Boar's Head. A pleasant walk mainly on tracks and minor roads, some fields but very few stiles.
