Walk: Dalegarth to Stanley Ghyll waterfall and Blea Tarn
Start Point: Dalegarth Station Grid Reference: NY 173 007
Distance: 7 miles Ascent: 750 feet
Time: -
Weather: Fine with a cold wind.
Comments: Making use of a free car park near Dalegarth station we proceeded up Stanley Ghyll to view the waterfall which was a fine sight after recent heavy rain. Returning to the River Esk we followed a path upstream to Low Birker Farm and Doctor Bridge. Here we crossed the river and went downstream to visit St Catherine's church. After a brief halt at Dalegarth railway station the party demanded more and so we heaved and puffed our way up to Blea Tarn before descending by an excellent zig-zag path to Beckfoot
