Walk: Heskin
Start Point: The Farmers Arms, Heskin Green Grid Reference: SD 531 153
Distance: 5.5 miles Ascent: 300 feet
Weather: A sunny but cold day
Comments: Frozen fields and tracks with icy patches caused a few slips and prostrations on the ground. Fortunately without apparent injury! From higher ground near to Charnock Richard Services a snow clad Winter Hill could be seen to the East, hazy views of the Fylde to the West with Lakeland fells being just discernible. A three course Christmas Lunch for less 8.00 was enjoyed by many of the group at The Farmers Arms.
