Walk: Alongside motorway, Derby Hill, over and alongside railway, Weeton Road at Crook't Tree Brow, Greenbank farm. Over motorway, Greenhalgh, Kirby's Farm, Weeton Road nr. Stanley Bank, Pub
Start Point: The Eagle and Child Grid Reference: SD 384 387
Distance: 5.7 miles Ascent: 300 feet
Time: 3.25 hours
Weather: Warm and sunny
Comments: 30 people met for the walk. Though a local walk for many people no-one remembered having done it before! As can be seen from the photos there were a number of crops growing in the fields which often meant a detour round the side of the field.
Excellent meals, well served were enjoyed by all who stayed to eat.
