Walk: Ashurst Beacon, towards Harrock Hill, Leeds/Liverpool canal
Start Point: Miller & Carter Inn, Parbold Grid Reference: SD 508 108
Distance: 11.5 miles Ascent: 600 ft
Time: 6 hours    
Weather: Good, Cloudy with some sun, windy
Comments: A varied, pleasant and enjoyable walk through woodland, fields and along the canal bank. We were joined by 5 local, non-Fylde members, making a total of 19 walkers. There were good views and one walker was carrying out training for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
