Distance: 8.3 miles Ascent: 2,200 feet

A well hidden car park but we all made it eventually and it was dry after a wet drive up

Are we in Africa with this dense jungle?

A splinter group heading for the top of Selside

Lakeland fells viewed through a gap in the trees

Lunch stop but had Bill changed allegiance to another group?

Bethecar Moor

I must have done something right, they're smiling

Coniston Water beyond the rooftops of Nibthwaite

Has Bill been here before?

And they're still smiling - it must have been the heat
