Walk: Limestone Hushings, 3 reservoirs, Hoar Side Moor, Hoof Stones height and Pudsey Clough.
Start Point: Ratten Clough lay by Grid Reference: SD 889 271
Distance: 14.5 miles Ascent: 2,200 feet
Time: 7 hours
Weather: Intermittent rain and sunshine with hailstone thrown in for good measure.
Comments: An interesting walk taking in a wind farm, The Hushings, three reservoirs, moorland and a deep gulley. Whilst the rain was not to heavy the fells were extremely wet. This could well be the wettest underfoot walk of 2012. ( Hushing is the removal of top soil by rushing water to reveal the limestone below.) 10 people braved the elements but sadly no pictures to prove it.
