Walk: Elslack, Elslack Reservoir, Ransable Hill, Pinhaw, Pennine Way
Start Point: Lay-by on A56 north of Elslack Grid Reference: SD 928 501
Distance: 8 miles Ascent: 1,180 feet
Time: 4.5 hours    
Weather: Glorious winter's day. Fine, sunny and cold. Hard frozen ground with patches of snow over 1,000 feet.
Comments: 28 walkers negotiated some slippery spots. Good Pennine views.
