Walk: Hartsop above How, Hart Crag, Fairfield, Cofa Pike, St. Sunday Crag, Birks, Arnison Crag
Start Point: Patterdale Hotel car park Grid Ref: NY 395 159
Distance: 10.7 miles Ascent: 3,600 feet
Time: 6.5 hours
Weather: A fine sunny day with excellent visibility.
Comments: Five Walkers joined the leader for this walk around the Deepdale ridge line. Following a warm up on the lanes and tracks to Deepdale Bridge we began ascending the ridge of Hartsop above How. After a pause for eleven thirties, we continued on to Hart Crag and then Fairfield. Leaving Fairfield we descended over Cofa Pike to Deepdale Hause before carrying on to St Sunday Crag and Birks. From Birks we descended to Trough Head before the last climb of the day to Arnison Crag. Thanks mainly to the excellent weather it was unanimously agreed that we had had a good day.
