Distance: 4.5 miles Ascent: 150 feet
Time: 2.75 hours    
Weather: Very warm and sunny
Comments: Interesting walk, historical interest: Hoghton Tower, geographical: Darwen Gorge, site of paper mill, canalside track and marina, architectur: railway viaduct.
Walk was enjoyed by 10 ramblers.
