Walk: Rochdale Canal, Gauxholme, Law Hey, Gal Way (part of the Long Causeway), Thorns Greece Farm, Foul Clough Road, Trough Edge End (454m), Limers Gate, Range Hoyle, Gorpley Clough, Stones Wood, Stones.
Start Point: Lever Street car park, Todmorden Grid Reference: SD 938 241
Distance: 8.25 miles Ascent: 1,800 feet
Time: 5 hours    
Weather: Fine, sunny with a pleasant breeze on the moor tops.
Comments: 10 walkers. The route took in parts of the Todmorden Centenary Way and the Calderdale Way. Great views from the trig point on Trough Edge End across Manchester into Cheshire, over to Darwen Tower and north to Pendle and Pen-y-Ghent. Welcome refreshment afterwards at the Bear cafe.
Our photographer experienced the trauma of battery failure early in the walk so most of the photographs were taken by mobiles!
