Walk: Brackenthwaite, Hag End, Old St Catherine's Church at Crook, Underbarrow, Bell Hill, Capple Rigg and Rather Heath
Start Point: Ashes Lane , Staveley Grid Reference: SD 485 963
Distance: 9 miles Ascent: 1,000 feet
Time: 5 hours
Weather: Very warm, dry and mainly sunny
Comments: Fifteen people took part in this undulating walk through south Lakeland countryside on a beautiful late spring day. There was a plethora of wild flowers with the trees taking on their summer colours. Much use was made of the many tracks and relatively quiet narrow lanes in the area. Thanks to the leader and her deputies.
