Walk: Mellbreak
Start Point: Lanthwaite Green Grid Reference: NY 159 208
Distance:   Ascent:
Time:
Weather: It was cool but fine, sun breaking through in the afternoon and a very cold wind on the tops with snow remaining on the distant fells.
Comments: Gary & Robina Smith, former Fylde Ramblers, now living in Cumbria, planned Saturday's walk from Lanthwaite Green. Twelve of us started the walk and eight took the valley route whilst four climbed Mellbreak (see Dorothy climbs whilst the rest of the group remain below) both groups eventually reaching the cars at much the same time.
