Walk: Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike, High Crag, Dollywaggon Pike, Grisedale Tarn, Raise Beck
Start Point: Dunmail Raise Grid Reference: NY 330 111
Distance: 10 miles Ascent: 3,300 feet
Time: 6 hours
Weather: Dry day with excellent visibility and frequent sunny spells. Fairly chilly on the summits.
Comments: Four walkers joined the leader for this trip to the Eastern Fells. The planned walk had to be shortened due to the path to Swirls being closed but we still managed an enjoyable walk nevertheless. The conditions were near perfect for walking and as a bonus Robb managed to “bag” three new Wainwrights.
