Walk:
Whalley Nab, Whalley Village, Spring Wood and Read Park
Start Point:
The Game Cock, Nr Great Harwood
Grid Reference: SD 745 338
Distance: 5 miles Ascent: 800 feet
Time: 3 hours
Weather: Rain with an odd ray of sunshine
Comments: Twenty two people took part in this undulating walk using field paths and tracks in an area south and south east of Whalley. Recent rains made some of the paths and fields a little heavy going but the group took it in their stride. Unfortunately light rain hid some of the pleasant views that can be seen in the area. Perhaps the weather will be kinder next time.
