Walk: Leeds to Liverpool Canal, Low Snaygill, Horse Close Farm, Back Plantation, Snow Hill Farm, Middlebrough House, Jenkin, Peel's Laithe, Cocklick Hill, Smoulden Farm.
Start Point: Matthew Lane CP, Low Bradley Grid Reference: SE 000 482
Distance: 8.5 miles Ascent: 1,100 feet
Time: 4.5 hours
Weather: Fine, overcast and occasionally blustery.
Comments: 15 walkers. Good views, particularly north and north east from the track between Jenny Gill and Back Plantation. Considering the recent bad weather, conditions underfoot were not too bad. Some fields were still water-logged. Plenty of stiles, some high, but mostly well built; The exception being a broken wooden stile between Jenkin and Peel's Laithe.
