Walk: Wrightington area including Hill House Fold and High Barn
Start Point: White Lion, Wrightington Grid Reference: SD 540 114
Distance: 5.3 miles Ascent: 330 feet
Time: 3 hours
Weather: Nainly warm and sunny
Comments:

After heavy overnight rain, the sun shone for most of the morning.  Despite the rain, the paths were reasonably dry.  Twenty three people took part in this irregular figure of eight walk.  A gradual easy ascent for the first part of the walk afforded ample panoramic views of Winter Hill, the Pennines and all points of the compass.  Some of the fields had already been ploughed whilst other awaited a combined harvester.  A good walk and the food was excellent.
