Walk: Leagram Hall Farm, Birchin Lee and former chair works
Start Point: Chipping Car Park Grid Reference: SD 622 433
Distance: 4 miles Ascent: 500 feet
Time: 2.25 hours
Weather: Dry, but over cast

It was intended to walk a 5.5 mile route from Ferrari’s Restaurant, the Christmas Meal venue.  However, because of recent heavy rains part of the route was flooded.  An alternative route from the centre of Chipping was hastily chosen.  This was more elevated and on mainly firm paths.  The route was not reccied beforehand and because of this an intended path was not found, but mud was, thus causing the leader to resort to plan “B”.  On the upside, a few members of the party were able to visit Procter’s Cheese shop to buy “Kick Ass” cheese.  A pleasant walk with varying views of Pendle Hill, Longridge Fell and Parlick Pike.  The Christmas meal at Ferrari’s Restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced.

Some of the walkers sampled the wares of The Cobble Corner Cafe prior to the walk
