Walk: Cotton Tree, Winewall, Wellhead, Hill Top, Lower Draughtgates Farm, Dry Clough, Doughty Farm, Sweet Clough, Castercliff Iron Age Fort, Spring Gardens Mill, Carry Bridge. The route took in large parts of the Castercliff Circular walk and a small stretch of the Winewall Circular.

Distance: 7.3 miles Ascent: 1,050 feet
Time: 4.7 hours
Weather: Fine, dry but cool. Visibility improved to give views of Pendle and Lad Law.
Comments: 18 walkers experienced light but claggy mud. Toilets in Upper Ball Grove CP have been closed. The footpath has been diverted around Doughty Farm. Members of the group reported sightings of deer, an owl, a hare, dippers and a kingfisher.

We passed this owl in a Trawden garden. We later saw a wild one near Little Moss
