Walk: Abbey Village.  A circular walk round the Roddlesworth Reservoirs, walking along the SW side of the reservoirs, via track, as far as Tockholes Plantation No.3 turning NE to Visitor centre, Ryal Fold back to Tockholes Plantation No 3 then along  the Witton Weavers’ Way to the start.
Start Point: Hare and Hounds Pub, Abbey Village Grid Reference: SD 644 224
Distance: 5.9 miles Ascent: 300 feet
Time: 3 hours
Weather: Cold and sunny
Comments: There were 29 walkers out to enjoy the wintry weather and the distant views over the surrounding countryside. The walk was mainly on tracks and ideal for the season.  The reservoir overflow was completely dry. The reservoirs were still partly frozen and some of the tracks were dangerously icy.  However the previously muddy fields were frozen. Roddlesworth Visitor Centre provided a welcome coffee break and comfort stop.
