Walk: Sheep House Farm, Tippett House, Horrocks Fold, Horrocks Fold Quarries, Horrocks Moor, Whimberry Hill, Dean Mills Reservoir, Smithills Shooting Hut, Winter Hill TV Mast, Two Lads, Holdens Plantation, Burnt Edge, Walker Fold, The 63 Steps.

Distance: 8.3 miles Ascent: 1,160 feet
Time: 4.75 hours
Weather: Showery for the first couple of hours and a further heavy shower between the TV mast and Two Lads. Low cloud and mist on the top of Winter Hill. Sunny intervals in the afternoon gave some good views.

16 walkers. The path down to Walker Fold from Burnt Edge was heavily overgrown with kneck high nettles. The stile at SD 671 122 was broken and dangerous.
