Walk: Seat Sandal, Grisedale Tarn, Deepdale Hause, Cofa Pike, Fairfield, Great Rigg, Heron Pike, Nab Scar, The Coffin Route
Start Point: Lay-by on A591 near Grasmere Grid Reference: NY 338 084
Distance: 11.6 miles Ascent: 4,050 feet
Time: 7 hours
Weather: Rain on and off all day with the occasional flurry of snow. Very windy on the ridge.s
Comments: Four regulars plus Mandy, Barry, Pippa and Roxy from Cornwall, joined the leader for this walk in the North Eastern Fells. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t very kind to us and the snow made the ascent of Cofa Pike and Fairfield very tiring. However, despite the weather and the tired legs everyone agreed we had had a good walk.
