Walk: Lower Reaps, Top of Ramsgreave, Haggs Hall, Mellor Moor, Mellor
Start Point: Traders Arms, Mellor Grid Reference: SD 655 310
Distance: 5 miles Ascent: 450 feet
Time: 3 hours
Weather: Overcast with a cool breeze, cool for May
Comments: This different location attracted twenty eight walkers.  The walk over tracks, lanes and field paths offered many views from this elevated part of Lancashire.  The weather remained dry but there was a cool breeze.  The paths were mainly dry but there was a small area of mud on the route that caught people unawares.  One fair damsel became stuck and her two gallant rescuers also had difficulty in extricating themselves from the morass.  A good walk in a new area for the Fylde Group.
