Start Point: Dufton Grid Reference: NY 689 250
Distance: 15 miles Ascent: 3,000 feet
Time: 7 hours
Weather: Dry but cloudy with a few spells of sunshine

Three walkers joined the leader for this walk in the Northern Pennines. The walk began with an early climb over Dufton Pike before joining the Pennine Way which we followed to Knock Fell and Great Dun Fell. At the radar station we left the Pennine Way to descend through the old Silverband mine. Using the radar station access road, some field paths and a very muddy green lane we made our way back to the Pennine Way which we followed back to Dufton.
