Walk: Gowbarrow Fell, Little Mell Fell, Great Mell Fell
Start Point: Dockray Grid Reference: NY 393 215
Distance: 10.5 miles Ascent: 2,650 feet
Time: 5.45 hours
Weather: Cold and blustery with the occasional hail or sleet shower. Very strong winds on exposed summits.
Comments:

Eight walkers joined the leader on the first strenuous walk of the new year. Not ideal conditions and very wet underfoot but we have endured worse. The highlight of the day for me was when two of the ponies from Great Mell Fell decided they would like to share Lesley’s flapjack.
