Walk: Hoscar Moss
Start Point: The Windmill PH Parbold Grid Reference: SD 491 104
Distance: 6.6 miles Ascent: 150 feet
Time: 3 hours
Weather: Sunny and unusually warm for January
Comments: Commencing at the Windmill PH, the group headed for Liverpool along the Leeds to Liverpool Canal.  At just under one and a half miles, the group left the canal and used Hollowford Lane, Frog Lane, Wood Lane and Bleak Lane to walk through part of Hoscar.  They then re-joined the canal at Moss Bridge in order to return to Parbold.  There were no stiles to climb, and considering recent rainfall, there was only a little flooding on Frog Lane.Fifteen people participated in the walk and enjoyed lunch at the Windmill.
