Walk: Buckden, Old Cote Moor, Birks Fell, Horse Head, Beckermonds, Yockenthwaite, Cray
Start Point: Buckden Grid Reference: SD 942 773
Distance: 14 miles Ascent: 2,250 feet
Time: 7 hours
Weather: Dry for most of the day with just a shower at dusk. Very mild for November
Comments:

Seven walkers attended for this outing in the Yorkshire Dales. After climbing to the summit of Old Cote Moor we continued along the ridge to Horse Head before descending to Beckermonds to join the Dales Way. We continued along the Dales Way through Langstrothdale to Yockenthwaite before leaving it to join a higher path to Cray. Much of the normally easy path had been churned up by cattle making the going very heavy in places. After crossing the stepping stones at Cray we had another mini ascent to the track which took us back to Buckden and the cars.
