Walk: Cross House Farm, Kirkland Hall, Churchtown, Catterall Hall and Sturzaker House
Start Point: Th’owd Tithe Barn, Garstang Grid Reference: SD 490 450
Distance: 6.7 miles Ascent: Little
Time: 3 hours
Weather: Mainly cloudy
Comments:

This walk was a little longer than normal but had the advantage of been fairly level, having few stiles and mainly firm paths.  Twenty six people took part in this circular walk which included paths alongside the rivers Wyre and Calder, and the Lancaster Canal.  At one point on the walk some people were a little intimidated by a young bull.  It is likely that the bull was more interested in the many female bovine in the field rather than a group of ramblers.  Lunch was taken at Th’owd Tithe Barn
