Walk: Marton Mere, Stanley Park, Salisbury Woodland and Staining
Start Point: The Plough, Staining Grid Reference: SD 348 361
Distance: 5.65 miles Ascent: Little
Time: 2.75 hours
Weather: A little sun, cold with gale force winds but dry

On this very blustery day twenty five souls departed The Plough at Staining and were led around Marton Mere to Stanley Park. Unfortunately the café on the park was closed for holidays and maintenance.  After a short break the group continued through the park to then enter Salisbury Woodland before returning to Staining. The paths were mainly surfaced and there was an absence of stiles.  A good walk and the meal at The Plough was good value for money with plenty of food on ones plate.
