Walk: Laithbutts Lane, Newby Cote, Newby Moss, Little Ingleborough, Ingleborough, Dales High Way, Sulber Gate, Moughton Scars, Long Scar, Clapdale Drive
Start Point: Clapham Roadside Grid Reference: SD 745 693
Distance: 12.5 miles Ascent: 2,300 feet
Time: 6.5 hours
Weather: Sunny spells with rain towards the end of the walk
Comments:

The lush spring/summer growth made Laithbutts Lane difficult in places and the path across Newby Moss wasn't easy to follow. The descent from Ingleborough to the Dales High Way has been upgraded making the descent easier. The path over Moughton Scars into Crummock Dale was difficult to find between the limestone pavement so the route was changed, making directly for Long Scar via the Pennine Bridleway. At this point the rain set in and it was decided to miss out Trow Gill and head directly for Clapdale Drive. Fortunately the rain had eased off for the final part of the walk so that we reached the cars in a reasonably dry condition.
