Walk: Limbrick, Anglezarke Reservoir, Nick Hilton’s Bridge and Holland Fold
Start Point: Yarrow Bridge Hotel, Chorley Grid Reference: SD 592 160
Distance: 5.5 miles Ascent: 578 feet
Time: 3 hours
Weather: Wet, wet, wet

Although the forecast was for heavy rain, fifteen people joined the leader for a circular walk in light rain.  Leaving the Yarrow Bridge Hotel the group followed the River Yarrow valley before heading towards Anglezarke Reservoir.  At the reservoir the group met a large group of walkers from Bolton and a small group of school children from St Helens who were on a Duke of Edinburgh Scheme or similar.  Leaving the reservoir the group joined a road to Nick Hilton’s Bridge and then crossed fields and the M61 to skirt Chorley Golf Club.  A short walk along the Leeds/Liverpool Canal led to a path that took the group to the A6 (Bolton road) and then to the Yarrow Bridge Hotel.  Here a well earned lunch was taken.  A few muddy patches and wet grass but this didn’t spoil the walk.
Too wet for photographs.
