Walk: Leck Beck, Overtown, Tunstall
Start Point: Leck Church, Car Park Grid Reference: SD 643 767
Distance: 7 miles Ascent: Little
Time: 4.5 hours
Weather: A wet start with the weekend downpours continuous, extensive flooding in the area.
Comments:

8 walkers set out from the Church car park at Leck. We followed the footpath alongside  Leck Beck until an altenative had to be found because of the swollen beck, out onto a crossing at Overtown and heading towards Tunstall, the route known as the Bronte Churches walk between St Peter’s Leck and St John the Baptist Tunstall. Winston Churchills brother is buried at St John the Baptist Tunstall. A combined Lunch coffee stop at Tunstall found shelter from the rain in the Church vestibule. The return route took us through farmland with a lot of flooding, and some footpaths under water. However we made the walk under extreme conditions with everyone returning to Leck Church and a welcome dry change of footwear and clothing.
