Walk: Lancaster Canal, Morecambe Bay, Bolton-le Sands, Mount Pleasant vineyard
Start Point: The Canal Turn, Carnforth Grid Reference: SD 495 702
Distance: 5 miles Ascent: 300 feet
Time: 2.5 hours
Weather: Dull at first, sunny later, dry.

31 people set out heading South from Carnforth along the canal. We turned down to the coast and the salt marsh before returning up to the canal at Bolton le Sands. The return journey was made along a quiet lane which turned into a green lane, passing England’s most Northerly vineyard.
