Walk:

Fairy Steps, Storth, Arnside, Heathwaite, Arnside Knott, Arnside Tower, Hazelslack Tower, Haverbrack

Start Point: Beetham Grid Reference: SD 495 795
Distance: 15.5 miles Ascent: 1,750 feet
Time: 6.75 hours
Weather: Very mild cloudy day
Comments:

Six set off from Beetham up through woods to the Fairy Steps. What was noticeable was how green everything was in these woods due to everything being covered in bright green moss.
As none of us were able to drop down through the Fairy Steps without touching the sides no fairies were seen!
From the steps we followed very muddy paths through woods to Storth where we joined the coast path to Arnside. The coast was very eerie due to the mist and stillness.
From Arnside we followed the coast around Arnside Park before ascending Heathwaite and Arnside Knott. Whilst the mist had lifted a bit by now the views across to the Lakes were still disappointing.
We dropped down from the Knott and passed Arnside Tower and Hazelslack Tower on our way to Haverbrack where we entered the deer park. Even this was muddy!
