Walk: Cliviger Laithe, Salterford Bridge, Hurstwood, Cant Clough Beck, Shedden Clough, Causeway House, Merrill Head, Holme Chapel, Dyneley, Walk Mill, Broad Ing. The route included elements of the Pennine Bridleway and the Burnley Way.
Start Point: Townley Park Long Stay Car Park, Burnley Grid Reference: SD 857 312 
Distance: 8.6 miles Ascent: 1,200 feet
Time: 5 hours
Weather: Wall to wall sunshine. Cold easterly wind. Frozen ground with ice on paths and tracks at higher levels and in sheltered spots. The best kind of winter walking weather. Minimum mud.

12 walkers. Great visibility in contrast to our reccie when, in mist and low cloud, we had struggled to pick up the concessionary path from Cant Clough Beck.
