Walk: Barnacre Moor, Barnacre and Grizedale Reservoirs, Nicky Nook
Start Point: Garstang, High Street Car Park Grid Reference: SD 493 454
Distance: 11.7 miles Ascent: 750 feet
Time: 6 hours
Weather: A dry morning remaining for the rest of walk, windy on the Tops.

From the High Street car park 13 walkers set out following the river Wyre and on to Lingart Lane heading towards the dual bridge crossings of the West Coast rail line and the M6 Motorway. From the bridge crossings we followed Keepers Lane to a junction with Eidsforth Lane and on to Burns Farm where we stopped for coffee. A steady climb took us out onto Barnacre Moor eventually reaching the reservoirs of Barnacre and Grizedale Lea. We followed the road to reach Grizedale Bridge where we had lunch. After lunch we began our gradual ascent up to Nicky Nook where the views were fantastic. Dropping down from the trig point we headed towards the church spire of Scorton and an underpass below the M6 Motorway and the West Coast rail line. This was our route to pick up the Wyre Way and heading back into Garstang to complete a great walk.
