Walk: Millmoor Road, Long Moor, Howe Slacks, Rutter Mill, Low Rutter Bridge, Haybanks, Drybeck, Scale Beck, Stammerstones, including a stretch of the Dales High Way
Start Point: Great Asby Grid Reference: NY 679 131
Distance: 7 miles Ascent: 600 feet
Time: 4 hours
Weather: Sunny and dry
Comments: 24 walkers attracted by a walk in a new area……and afternoon tea at the Parish Church in Great Asby. Thanks to Jeanette for organising and the ladies of the church for providing. Rutter Force was virtually dry as was Asby Beck.

We passed St. Helen's Well at the start of the walk. It held little fresh water

The Almshouses were opposite the well

At Rutter Mill

The ford at Rutter Mill

The Rutter Mill ford was so shallow that waterproofing of boots was barely challenged

Leaving Rutter Mill the grasses and reeds were head height

We had a break by Hoff Beck

Heading into Drybeck

Drybeck Hall

We had views of the Northern Pennines at various stages of the walk

A break as we left Scale Beck

On the descent to Great Asby near Stannerstones
