Walk: Oldham Way, Pennine Way, Millstone Edge, White Hill, Windy Hill, Piethorne Reservoir, Castleshaw Reervoir
Start Point: Standedge parking area on A62 Grid Reference: SE 018 095
Distance: 13.25 miles Ascent: 2,100 feet
Time: 6 hours
Weather: Wet and miserable in the morning with low cloud and gale force winds. Drier and brighter in the afternoon but still windy
Comments:

Six walkers joined the leader for this outing in the Southern Pennines. With the wind blowing drizzle in our faces we reluctantly set off. The walk followed the Pennine Way for a time to a suitably named Windy Hill. As we descended from Windy Hill the weather improved and we had some shelter from the wind as we threaded our way through the numerous reservoirs that are a feature of this area.
