Walk: Holcombe Brook, Simons Farm, Holcombe Rifle Ranges, Quarlton Hall, Red Earth Farm, Roger Worthington’s Grave, Lark Hill, Peel Tower, including a stretch of the Village Link route.
Start Point: Peel Tower CP, Holcombe. Grid Reference: SD 781 162 
Distance: 8 miles Ascent: 1,070 feet
Time: 4 hours
Weather: Wet! Mainly light but continuous rain. Visibility only deteriorated when we approached the Peel Tower. No sign of Storm Freya!

On the reccie an ermine was seen following this wall

No flags flying today although lots of territorial soldiers around the lower areas of the range

By the time we reached the tower the clouds had fallen
