Walk: Burnley Way, Hameldon Hill, Great Hameldon, Loveclough, Compton Cross, Singing Ringing Tree, Cliviger, Towneley Park
Start Point: Todmorden Road car park Grid Reference: SD 850 306
Distance: 14 miles Ascent: 2,100 feet
Time: 6.25 hours
Weather: Light rain

Despite the forecast of heavy rain and high winds, six keen walkers turned up for the walk. The weather turned out to be much better than expected and whilst it did rain very lightly for most of the day there were no high winds.

We started by following the Burnley Way to Hameldon Hill and then Great Hameldon.

From Great Hameldon summit we headed south to join the Rossendale Way passing through Loveclough and on to Compton Cross. It was then on to the Singing Ringing Tree which was very quiet today due to the lack of wind!

From here we dropped down to Cliviger then walked through Towneley Park back to our cars
