Comments:

The walking holiday was organised by G- Line Coach Tours.  Transport was from home to Jersey via Liverpool Airport.  The hotel base was in St Helier.  The leader was a man from the Fylde, as were many of the walkers.  Each day the group departed from the central bus station and travelled by bus to the various start points.  At the end of the walk the return was by bus.  In travelling by bus one saw more of the island.  There is a standard fare of £2.00 (by card) or £2.20 cash.
The island measures nine miles by five miles, and during the stay the group walked about threequarters of the way around it using Coastal/Cliff Paths.  A couple of highlights of the week was a visit to “Mad Mary’s” Café (snack bar) at Bouley Bay and the Devil’s Hole on the north coast.  A field with lines of bushes had the group guessing, at first it was thought to be vineyard.  It turned out to be a trial for growing Tea.  In the main the weather was kind with temperatures in the low twenties and little wind until the end of the week.
